Your Responsibilities as a Shenanigans Guide:
- Meet and Greet: Kick off the festivities by giving our guests a hearty Shenanigans welcome
- Tour Extraordinaire: Lead groups and individual explorers on a journey filled with history, stories, laughter, and some magic effects! Magic wand not provided but all training given – enthusiasm required!
- Storytelling Sorcery: Master the art of spellbinding storytelling to keep our guests on the edge of their seats or, more accurately, on the edge of their walking shoes.
- Energy and Enthusiasm: Bring your A-game every day with enough energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm to power a small village (or at least a moderately- sized tour group).
- Ambassador: Be the smiling face of Shenanigans, spreading joy, laughter, and exceptional guest and non-guest service wherever our Shenanigans adventures take us. Plus, rock that Shenanigans uniform like it’s your own personal red carpet!
- Positivity Patrol: Maintain a warm, friendly demeanour that would make even the grumpiest leprechaun crack a smile. We’re all about spreading positivity and good vibes!
- Role Evolution: Work closely with our leadership team to level up your skills, evolve your role, and unlock new adventures along the way.
- Safety First: Keep guests (and yourself) safe by staying vigilant and adhering to company policies, including health and safety guidelines. Safety goggles not required, but a sharp eye for potential hazards is a must!
Job Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities:
- Leaving cert or equivalent: Basic or other tourism or arts degrees desired, but a knack for spinning yarns that would make the most sceptical leprechaun believe in magic is the real ticket to Shenanigator success!
- Charisma Champion: Outgoing personality, and good communication skills are the secret ingredients to becoming the life of the party – or, in this case, the life of the tour!
- Punctuality Pro: Good time management is a must, no one likes a late comer especially when it’s our party!
- Flexibility Flair: An ability to roll with the punches and adapt to ever-changing schedules.
- Local Lore Lover: A deep-seated love for all things local – from historical landmarks to the best spots for a post-tour pint or bite to eat. Bonus points if you’ve got a secret stash of golden nuggets hidden away!
- Performance Pro: Previous experience in a performance-based role? Congratulations – you’re on your way to becoming a full-fledged Shenanigator!
- Customer Service Connoisseur: Got a knack for making folks feel like VIPs? Customer service experience is a definite bonus! Every guest deserves to feel like king or queen of their own Shenanigans adventure!
